Peach season is short, take advantage of it! Same recipe as this blackberry shortbread tart. Different shape, different fruit. Substituted 1/2 whole wheat flour with good results.

Peach picking should be mandatory.

  1. i did something that looked really familiar earlier this summer--peach buckle. just what the doctor ordered--yummy moist cake, cooked with a layer of drippingly ripe peaches on top, with just a little brown-butter crumble covering it all. The best! Although if you want to challenge me by baking me some more of this tart business when you get to Pine, i'd have no objections...
